Graduate Academics: International Students

Before you apply to a graduate degree program at Pace you will probably have many questions. Some of these might be:

  • Are all programs offered on all campuses?
  • Are there any degrees at Pace that are not offered to international students?
  • Are doctoral degrees available to international students?
  • Can I work in the USA?

The answers to all of these important questions and others can be found on the Academic and Entry requirement FAQ page.

The American education system for graduate students

You should be aware that the U.S. education system will probably be different from what you have experienced in your home country.

In America, students who enroll in a master’s degree will usually have to take a series of foundation and/or professional core courses, followed by advanced specialization courses and a thesis paper or capstone project. Master’s degrees often provide students with work experience opportunities in the form of internships.
