PLV50 Marches On

Pleasantville’s 50th anniversary continues this spring with a variety of events including a wine and food tasting, a panel on women in leadership, and a lecture by famed urban historian Kenneth T. Jackson.

14th Annual Westchester Wine Experience
Saturday, March 22, 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
Kessel Student Center, Gottesman Room

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Pleasantville, spend the afternoon sampling wines from 25 wineries and signature dishes from more than 20 of Westchester’s finest restaurants. Participants at this year’s event include national and international vintners such as Banfi Vintners, Pernod, Ricard, Peter Brum/Dr. Zenzen, and Opici Wines. Some of the restaurants taking part in the event include Iron Horse Grill, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Bistro 146, and Crabtree’s Kittlehouse. All proceeds of the Wine Experience will go to various local and international charities. $60 per ticket at the door, save $5 by ordering your tickets in advance. In celebration Women’s History Month and Pace University’s 50th anniversary in Pleasantville, be inspired by powerful women who have made their marks in government, business, and higher education. Hear their stories of trial and triumph as they navigated these traditionally male-dominated industries. Panelists will include Jody Fay, Esq., President, Westchester County Bar Association; Harriet R. Feldman, PhD, RN, FAAN, Dean, College of Health Professions, Pace University; Marsha Gordon, DPS, President and CEO, The Business Council of Westchester; and Stacey Hengsterman, Associate Vice Chancellor for Government Relations, State University of New York.  The discussion will be moderated by Vanessa J. Herman, Assistant Vice-President, Government and Community Relations, Pace University and Lisa Bardill Moscaritolo, PhD, Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean for Students, Pace University Westchester Campus. In honor of Pace Pleasantville’s 50th anniversary, urban historian and Columbia University Professor Kenneth T. Jackson will join Pace University President Stephen J. Friedman and Dean of the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences Nira Herrmann, PhD, for an informative and memorable lecture on the growth and history of Westchester County and Pace’s role in that history.
