Interested in working with a faculty member on scholarly or creative research this summer? Apply by April 30 for the Provost’s Undergraduate Student-Faculty Research Summer Program.
The effect of video games on academic performance. Implications of rising waters. The interaction between a tumor suppressor and pro-apoptotic protein in breast cancer. These are just a few of the topics students and faculty have been researching as part of the Undergraduate Student-Faculty Research Program this year. Have a topic you’re passionate about and interested in working with a faculty member on? The Provost’s Undergraduate Student-Faculty Research Summer Program is happening again this year!
Selected student and faculty pairs will be offered a stipend ($750 for the faculty; $500 for the student) to work together on a summer research project, submit their findings for possible publication, and present at Pace’s research showcase program. At the showcase, the two top pairs (one from each campus) will be awarded $2,000 to be used toward a national conference in their field.
If you’re interested in gaining knowledge and a deeper appreciation for your academic field, working one-on-one with a professor and gaining hands-on experience, strengthening your research, critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills, and building your resume, apply by April 30 for the program.
