We Want You BAC (NYC)

News Story

Are you interested in learning and gaining knowledge about the budget allocation process at the University? Want to work with other student leaders to distribute funding to clubs and student organizations on the NYC Campus? Well, here’s how you can!

Learn and gain experience in budgeting by becoming a part of the Budget Allocation Council (BAC). BAC is a council of six advisers who are full-time undergraduate students, chaired by the Executive Treasurer of the Student Government Association (SGA). The Budget Allocation Council is responsible for distributing the Student Activities Fee (SAF) to different clubs and student organizations on the NYC Campus so that they may program and host events every semester—you know, the events you, the students, attend. BAC meets regularly prior to each semester and throughout each semester to allocate funding based on budget proposals submitted by clubs and student organizations as well as to establish and implement new policies and procedures.

The Student Government Association (SGA) will be organizing the Budget Allocation Council (BAC) elections the week of April 14. If you are interested in running for a Budget Allocation Council adviser position, please pick up an application packet in the SDACA Office at 41 Park Row, 8th Floor. Application packets are available as of Friday, April 11.

SGA is looking for candidates who are dedicated and interested in becoming leaders in the Pace Community. There will be a BAC Informational Session on Monday, April 14 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the SDACA Office, 41 Park Row, 8th Floor.
