It’s always an adjustment coming back to school after a month-long break. That’s why Student Development and Campus Activities (SDACA) is helping ease NYC students into the semester with their annual Winter Welcome Week!

Winter Wonderland Carnival and Spring Activities Fair

Come help us welcome the start of a new semester at our Winter Wonderland Carnival. Enjoy food, prizes, spray paint artists, and caricaturists while getting to know the various student clubs and organizations on campus. Register here. (FREE)

The Brooklyn Museum Presents: The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier
Wednesday, February 5
2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
The man who brought you Madonna’s infamous cone bra, corsets, and men’s skirts is bringing his French haute couture to Brooklyn. Join SDACA in checking out the first international exhibition dedicated to the groundbreaking French couturier, The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk, a multimedia exhibition featuring about 140 of the avant-garde designer’s ensembles, many of which are displayed on custom mannequins with interactive faces. Brooklyn Nets vs. Spurs

Broadway Musical: Kinky Boots
Friday, February 7
If the shoe fits, flaunt it! Check out Broadway’s new high-heeled hit Kinky Boots, winner of six Tony Awards including one for pop icon Cyndi Lauper, who wrote the music and lyrics for the show. Kinky Boots follows Charlie Price, who inherited his father’s sinking shoe factory and by chance meets drag performer Lola, who helps Charlie turn the factory around and show him that he should never judge a man until he’s walked a mile in his heels. Islanders vs. Avalanche
Saturday, February 8
You shouldn’t go through life without goals. And we’re not talking about professional and personal ones. This is simply about hockey. Check out the New York Islanders as they try to ice out the Colorado Avalanche at the Coliseum. Register here. ($45)

Sunday, February 9
