OASAS 2008 Grant
The Counseling Center of Pace University in New York City was awarded $9,300 by the New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services to combat underage drinking. Funds will be used to commence a media campaign for 2008 targeting students, staff, faculty, and parents’ perceptions about alcohol use among minors. Flyers, posters, public service announcements, advertisements in the Pace Press, and giveaways will be used to raise the community’s consciousness about the negative effects of drinking. The grant will aim to increase awareness, change behavior, and increase help-seeking behavior amongst underage college students who drink alcohol.
