The English Language Institute is open to any student who is at least sixteen years old and who has completed secondary school (special summer programs can be designed for younger students).
The Institute is authorized to issue the I-20 document for full-time English (at least 18 hours per week). For more information about the student (F-1) visa and the I-20 document, go to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
Admission to the ELI does not constitute to Pace University Degree Programs. Students take a placement test offered on the New York City Campus or the Law School Campus in White Plains and are assigned classes according to their English level and their goals and interests.
