Dale Carnegie Leadership Retreat

The annual BHP Leadership Retreat, which traditionally runs before spring semester classes begin in January, is run in partnership with the Dale Carnegie Foundation and features a customized version of their advanced "Developing the Leader in You" program. The seminar usually costs over $1,500 but is offered at no cost to BHP participants. Following the retreat participants are invited to a dinner and networking event - e.g., a private NYC harbor cruise with music, dancing, and desserts.

Spring 2010 Leadership Retreat

Sixty Lubin honors students and several faculty members from both the New York City and Pleasantville campuses attended an all-day leadership retreat at the Graduate Center in White Plains on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. The retreat was the third annual leadership retreat sponsored by the Lubin Business Honors Program. The program featured leadership training workshops run by Dale Carnegie Training, a luncheon with executive mentors who are mentoring Lubin honors students, and addresses by Dean Baczko, Dean Berger, and BHP program director Eric Kessler. After the completion of training, additional faculty members joined students for dinner and an evening social event. Student participants were universally pleased with the event, stating that the training challenged them and that they will definitely use the skills they learned in their schoolwork and in their jobs, and that they enjoyed interacting with honors students from the other campus.
