The Qualifications and Duties of the Elected Officers

The Director of Fundraising Committee shall:
  • Be a graduate student who was the candidate who obtained the highest number of votes during the general elections process.
  • Chair the Fundraising Committee.
  • Coordinate and sponsor events that raise funds to support the organization’s social events, career events, and other related activities.
  • Create strategies to incite monetary contribution of participants at social and career events throughout each academic semester (fall and spring).
  • Report to the Board at every meeting on the exercise of his/her duties.
  • Fulfill at least one office hour per week each academic semester (fall and spring).

The Assistant Director of Fundraising Committee shall:
  • Be a graduate student who was the candidate who obtained the highest number of votes during the general elections process.
  • Help the Director of Fundraising Committee accomplish his/her goals and duties (as described above).
  • Assume the duties, powers and responsibilities of the Director of Fundraising Services in his/absence.
  • Report to the Board at every meeting on the exercise of his/her duties.
  • Fulfill at least one office hour per week each academic semester (fall and spring).

The Director of Career Events Committee shall:
  • Be a graduate student who was the candidate who obtained the highest number of votes during the general elections process.
  • Work in conjunction and affiliation with the University Department of Co-op and Career Services to improve career services in general for the benefit of graduate students.
  • Sponsor events that would include speakers to visit Pace University from the business community to give lectures regarding their industry, their background, and what is involved in achieving success in their field.
  • Work in alliance with any organizations, societies, corporations, or otherwise to strengthen the education of graduate students regarding their respective view of study or profession.
  • Report to the Board at every meeting on the exercise of his/her duties.
  • Fulfill at least one office hour per week each academic semester (fall and spring).

The Director of Social Events Committee shall:
  • Be a graduate student who was the candidate who obtained the highest number of votes of the membership on a ballot during the general elections process.
  • Coordinate all events and activities related to LGS and graduate students at large.
  • Introduce fellow graduate students and alumni to each other in an informal setting.
  • Plan one social each semester.
  • Report to the board at every meeting on the exercise of his/her duties.
  • Fulfill at least one office hour per week each academic semester (fall and spring).

The Assistant Director of Social Events Committee shall:
  • Be a graduate student who was the candidate who obtained the highest number of votes of the membership on a ballot during the general elections process.
  • Assist the Director of Social Events Committee in coordinating all events and activities related to LGS and graduate students at large.
  • Assist the Director of Social Events Committee in planning the social.
  • Assume the duties, powers and responsibilities of the Director of Social Events in his/her absence.
  • Report to the board at every meeting on the exercise of his/her duties.
  • Fulfill at least one office hour per week each academic semester (fall and spring).

The Student Representative shall:
  • Be a graduate student who was the candidate who obtained the highest number of votes during the general elections process.
  • Coordinate events and activities designed to enhance the experience of full-time students in the MBA/MS programs.
  • Report to the board at every meeting on the exercise of his/her duties.
  • Fulfill at least one office hour per week each academic semester (fall and spring).
