This week, 50 Days and 50 Nights is building the sweetest cupcake you can dream up (and also explaining what that dream means), striking a pink pose down the runway, ponging for philanthropies, and more.

Bra Pong
Monday, October 5 | 12:10 p.m.–2:00 p.m. | Boudreau Lounge
Ok, so you’ve probably thrown a ping pong ball into a cup. This is just a different kind of cup. Students will pay money to participate in a game of bra pong to win prizes as well as decorating bras. This event, hosted by the sisters of Nu Zeta Phi, is held to raise awareness for breast cancer.

Swipe Left, Swipe Right

Do you spend more hours on your phone than away from it? Does picking an Instagram filter stress you out more than exams? Be honest, are you hashtagging in real life? #truestory. Lambda Upsilon Lambda tackles social media addiction and the pros and cons of social media and technology. There will also be a raffle for an iPad Mini. Well…

StrengthsQuest First Year Sessions: Involvement

Black Student Union wants you to celebrate your natural hair and skin. Discuss natural hair, hear people’s stories about why they have been or chose to be all natural, talk about struggles, share tips, and more.

I’m Every Woman

Dedicated to empowering women, Delta Sigma Theta will host a series of events in line with the sorority’s national initiative, Total Woman: Mind, Body, and Spirit. The first event will touch on what we don’t like about ourselves.

This I Believe Read Aloud

Based on the 1950s radio program hosted by Edward R. Murrow, which featured essays from the likes of Eleanor Roosevelt, Jackie Robinson, Helen Keller, and Harry Truman, This I Believe is an international organization engaging people in writing and sharing essays describing the core values that guide their daily lives. Join the Library at a real aloud, where you can read your own This I Believe essay, read your favorite piece from the This I Believe: Life Lessons book, or search thisibelieve.org to find a piece to read. Light refreshments will be available.

Believe in Beauty

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, celebrate beauty in all its forms as Pace’s Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) brings you pink hair extensions, tie-dye t-shirts, buttons, ribbons, and nail-painting to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Pong for Philanthropy

Shoot for an MS-free world and score a $100 Visa gift card. Alpha Chi Epsilon is raising money for the MS Foundation with a water pong tournament. $3 gets you in with a chance to win $50 and $100 Visa gift cards.

Did you know that women of color often suffer from breast cancer and obesity? The ladies of Delta Sigma Theta want all women to take control of their health. Join them for an inspiring discussion about how women can lead healthier lives physically, mentally, and spiritually, with an emphasis on common diseases women face.

Think Pink Fashion Show
Friday, October 9 | 8:00 p.m.–11:59 p.m. | Gottesman
Put your best pink shoe or foot forward, strut your stuff down the runway, and help stomp out breast cancer at the third annual Think Pink Fashion Show, hosted by the Nu Zeta Phi sorority. Both ladies and gents are invited to show off their pink fashions in three categories: professional pink, sexy pink, and sleepy pink, while building awareness of breast cancer and celebrating students, survivors, and caretakers affected by the disease. Proceeds will support the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Sister to Sister Picnic

Find out what sisterhood is all about from Pace’s Panhellenic Council at their annual picnic in support of their philanthropy Circle of Sisterhood. Sisters from the University’s various sororities will be around to share all the powerful and positive impacts that joining a sorority can have, including an appreciation and dedication for philanthropic work.

Stress Relief

The weekends are for relaxing and the Psychology Club is here to help you do so. They’re bringing in massages, meditation techniques, and other spa treatments, as well as a guest speaker, to help you relax, reduce stress, and live a more peaceful lifestyle.
