Butt of the Joke
Two-time Emmy Award-winner Sarah Silverman is taking the Schimmel Theatre by storm and laughter on Monday, October 12, for Inside the Actors Studio.
Nothing is off-limits when it comes to Inside the Actors Studio's upcoming guest on Monday, October 12, at 7:00 p.m. in the Schimmel Theatre. From poking fun at celebrities like Paris Hilton and Matt Damon, to satirizing people of all races, religions, and walks of life, everyone is a fair target when it comes to Sarah Silverman's comedy, including the bed-wetter herself. If you can't even imagine what will come out of her mouth on the Schimmel stage, you aren't alone. And while she may be equal parts inappropriate, offensive, and absolutely hilarious, she's also extremely talented.
A two-time Emmy Award-winner, Sarah Silverman is as versatile of a performer as they come. Her repertoire includes everything from film and television, stand-up comedy, to iconic online videos, and she added author to this list when she released a book in 2010, the New York Times bestseller, The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee. Silverman was nominated for a 2009 Primetime Emmy in the Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series category for her portrayal of a fictionalized version of herself in her Comedy Central series The Sarah Silverman Program. In 2013, Silverman debuted an hour-long stand-up special, We are Miracles, on HBO, and she was awarded a 2014 Primetime Emmy in the Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special category. She also won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Music and Lyrics for her song "I'm [F***ing] Matt Damon," which became a YouTube sensation. Silverman will be seen next in the drama feature I Smile Back, a film adaption of a novel by Amy Koppelman in which Silverman plays the lead role.
