eLaborating on Events (NYC)
Are you a budding entrepreneur who wants to win $100 in three minutes for a chance to then win $1,000 in three minutes? Mini-pitch contests prepare you for the 10th Annual Pace Pitch Contest, and Gurbaksh Chahal hosts an Entrepreneurs Roundtable!
Practice pitch can make you rich. This isn’t online spam. You don’t need to wire anything to anywhere to get started. This is what Pace calls “Opportunity through Entrepreneurship.”
To help students prepare for the 10th Annual Pace Pitch Contest, the Entrepreneurship Lab will hold a series of mini-pitch contests called the Pitch Pace Contest Series.
This is a fun and casual event with a small audience. Food and beverages will be served, plus a chance to win $100 in cash.
The remainder of the Pitch Pace Contest Series will be held on February 19, March 5, and April 2 from 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. at the eLab located at 163 William Street, Room 344, on the NYC Campus.
The contest is open to all Pace University students. To compete, all you have to do is register, prepare a three-minute pitch, and show up 10 minutes early. Click here to register.
Note: The Pitch Pace Contest Series is not a part of the entry or selection process for the 10th Annual Pace Pitch Content. Students competing in the 10th Annual Pace Pitch Contest should follow the instructions on the How to Enter the Pitch Contest page.
The Pace Pitch Contest is based on the Elevator Pitch concept, popular in the venture capital community. It is an extremely concise presentation of an entrepreneur’s idea, business model, marketing strategy, competitive analysis, and financial plan, which is delivered to potential investors. The premise is that it could be made in a few minutes, should the entrepreneur spot a potential investor on an elevator and have the opportunity to pitch their idea during the brief ride.
Each finalist will have exactly three minutes to pitch their new venture idea to a panel of Pace alumni entrepreneur judges and an enthusiastic audience. Cash prizes will be awarded. $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place, and $250 for third place.
