February Fun in the Library (PLV)
Escape the Library, honor Black History Month through QPOC poetry, watch the Oscars, and bust out your board game skills at game night in the libraries to round out the month of February.
PLV's Mortola Library and NYC's Birnbaum Library have several exciting events coming up, first with a QPOC Poetry Hour celebrating Black History Month, then a game night, and later a quest to escape the Library and view the Oscars with friends. Check them out below!

Join the Library and QPOC in a celebration of poetry for Black History Month.
Friday, February 24 | 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. | Mortola Library
Are you a Monopoly master? Have the word smarts for Scrabble? Head over to the Mortola Library’s game night to put those game skills to the test. Choose from more than 30 board games and come alone or with friends!
Escape the Library
Sunday, February 26 | 12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. | Mortola Library
Do you have what it takes to make it out? Grab your friends and put your puzzle-solving skills to the test to figure out how to escape the room, based off of the interactive namesake game that places you in an ordinary room disguised as a mystery puzzle. Participants seek out hidden objects, find clues, and solve puzzles to set themselves free.
Oscars Viewing Party
Sunday, February 26 | 8:00 p.m. | Mortola Library
Lights, camera, action! Who do you think will take home the shiny gold trophies this year? Discuss and watch the Oscars with friends, walk the red carpet, participate in Oscars trivia, eat snacks, and vote for your favorites at the Oscars viewing party in Mortola Library.
