News Story

First generation students: Get to know one another, discuss needs and experiences, and create conversation through meetings just for you!

Are you the first of your family to attend college? You’re not alone! One out of six students in the US is first generation and you can now get involved in Pace’s own community of first generation students.

Faculty, staff, and students can attend meetings throughout the semester to discuss the needs of first generation students and their experiences with a goal of creating initiatives for students on the PLV Campus. The Office of Student Success is leading the initiative and will hold events on the NYC Campus as well.

The first meeting in PLV will take place on Thursday, September 29, from 3:10 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Kessel Dean’s Lounge Kessel. Light refreshments will be served. For more information about events on the PLV Campus, contact Niki Fjeldal at nfjeldal@pace.edu or Heather Novak at hnovak@pace.edu.

To learn more about upcoming events on the NYC Campus, contact Jen Crespo at jcrespo@pace.edu, Jonathan Hooker at jhooker@pace.edu, or Erin Furey at efurey@pace.edu.
