In Memoriam

News Story

On November 20, the LGBTQA and Social Justice Center invites you to make kites that will be hung all over One Pace Plaza in memory of the victims of transphobic violence.

The Transgender Day of Remembrance is an annual observance in honor of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals who lost their lives this past year due to senseless violence. It’s an important event—one that the LGBTQA and Social Justice Center is committed to shining a light on. Please join them as they make handmade kites, which will be displayed proudly throughout the halls of One Pace Plaza long after the day is over.

Monday, November 20
10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Birnbaum Library, Lobby

Let us continue the discussion surrounding transphobic and queerphobic violence, push for change in our legal system, and honor the memory of those lost by never giving up. Remember: you’re not alone! Please be sure to contact the Counseling Center at any time should you need support.
