An op-ed on nuclear disarmament, opinions about the administration in Washington, an interesting segment on cow's milk, and more in this month's Fit to Print!

Dyson Associate Professor and Director of the International Disarmament Institute Matthew Bolton, PhD, recently published an op-ed on the website Just Security titled “Revitalizing Internationionalism through the Convention on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.”

Lubin Professor Aron Gottesman, PhD, has a forthcoming book titled Understanding Systemic Risk in Global Financial Markets.

Counseling Center Director Richard Shadick, PhD, conducted research that was featured on the website Drug Addiction Now in an article titled “LGBQ Students Have Higher Risks for Nonmedical Use of Prescriptions.”

Lubin Professor Robert G. Vambery, PhD, recently addressed the China Investment Group regarding the topic of “Cut-throat Competition Among Nations in International Business.”

Dyson Assistant Professor Adam Klein, PhD, was quoted in a Wired.com article titled, “To Make Your Conspiracy Theory Legit, Just Find an ‘Expert’” where his theory on information laundering was mentioned. Professor Klein was also interviewed in a recent radio segment for the NPR affiliate WAMU, based out of Washington, D.C. in a segmented titled, "In the Wake of College Park Murder, Campuses Confront New Wave of Bigotry" where he discusses the long-term strategy of hate groups to infiltrate college campuses and what universities are doing to combat extremism.

Dyson Professor and Chair of Environmental Studies and Science E. Melanie DuPuis, PhD, offered her expertise on a recent segment of All Things Considered, titled “Why Are Americans Drinking Less Cow’s Milk?” the flagship news program on National Public Radio (NPR).

Dyson Professor of Political Science David Caputo, PhD, recently published an article in The Chronicle of Higher Education about his Presidential Leadership Workshop course. Caputo was also quoted in Variety article discussing how Trump scandals drive ratings.

Senior Fellow for Environmental Affairs John Cronin and Pace Environmental Policy Clinic Director Michelle D. Land, JD, were recently mentioned in MidHudsonNews.com regarding New York State potentially banning elephant acts. Cronin was also recently interviewed by WAMC/Northeast Public Radio about the Hudson River anchorage site proposal.

CHP Professor Keville Frederickson, EdD, RN, FAAN, was mentioned in Westchester Magazine regarding her appointment as the Founding Director of the PhD in Nursing.

Haub School of Law professors Randy McLaughlin, JD, and Debra Cohen, JD, were recently honored by the Westchester Martin Luther King, Jr. Institute for Nonviolence with the “Champion of Justice” award for their civil rights advocacy.

Haub School of Law Professor Margot Pollans, JD, made the NYC Food Policy Center’s list of 40 under 40 Rising Stars in NYC Food Policy.

Dyson Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies and Science Matthew Aiello-Lammens, PhD, has co-authored a new paper about climate change effects in fire-prone areas. It was recently cited in UConn Today.

Haub School of Law Dean David Yassky, JD, published an op-ed in the New York Daily News regarding federal tax cuts.

Government and Community Relations Director Bill Colona was named to Westchester Business Council's Rising Stars, their latest class of outstanding 40 under 40 business professionals.

Dyson Assistant Professor of Biology, Aaron Steiner, PhD, has been awarded a grant from the National Institute of Health for his proposed study to develop new hearing loss therapies by studying hair cells of non-mammalian vertebrates.

Dyson Associate Professor Kimberly Collica-Cox, PhD, received the Volunteer of the Year Award from Metropolitan Correctional Center for the Parenting, Prison, and Pups Program. Collica-Cox also recently wrote an article for the website Crimcast titled “Parenting, Prisons, and Pups.”
