Join CCAR and WNYC for a listening of WNYC’s Death, Sex, & Money podcast, featuring Orange Is the New Black and Jane the Virgin star Diane Guerrero in conversation with host Anna Sale.
Wednesday, March 22
12:15 p.m.–1:15 p.m.
Student Union, Meeting Room A
In the podcast, Guerrero shares the challenges she faced as a first-generation American and how she has been impacted by and dealt with the deportation of her parents when she was 14 years old. Just last year Guerrero released In the Country We Love: My Family Divided, a memoir about those experiences.
The Listen Lounge will be followed by a student discussion on the episode and these topics. WNYC Listen Lounges are student-led podcast listening parties that provide a jumping off point for poignant and challenging discussions about issues facing students today. Guerrero will not be in attendance.
Pizza will be provided. All attendees will have a chance to win a pair of tickets to Governors Ball!
Space is extremely limited! Register online at www.wnyc.org/pacelistenlounge.
If there are more registrants than there are spaces, extra registrants will be added to a waitlist. Registration closes on Friday, March 10. All those who register after March 10 will automatically be placed on a waitlist. All registrants will be confirmed after March 10.
