Pace alumnus, trustee member, and former Executive VP and CFO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York Ed Murphy ’74 discusses career opportunities at a Beta Alpha Psi lecture on April 7 in NYC.
On Monday, April 7, join Beta Alpha Psi as they host a discussion with Pace alumnus Ed Murphy ’74 on career choices and opportunities after graduating from Pace from 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. in Lecture Hall West.
Murphy is a member of the Pace University Board of Trustees and recently retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining the Federal Reserve, Murphy had been with JPMorgan for 21 years, where he held many positions including Global Audit Director.
This will be Murphy's first lecture as part of his new role as Lubin Mentor in Residence. The new Mentor in Residence program will bring Lubin alumni who are senior executives in their fields to engage with students on campus. The first students who will be mentored by Murphy are Beta Alpha Psi (BAP), which has consistently distinguished itself maintaining gold chapter status and winning Best Practices awards in their annual competitions. Murphy will engage with BAP students, graduate students, and business honors students on an individual basis as well as in small groups.
“We are extremely grateful to Ed Murphy for serving as our first Mentor in Residence,” said Neil S. Braun, Dean of the Lubin School. “His long and distinguished career in banking and finance and broad experience as a senior executive will provide students with a robust platform to help them achieve their career goals and success.”
