Search Process/Timeline

March
Site visit: Consultant meets with Trustees, administrators, faculty, students, and staff to learn about institution and solicit input on the search. 

Mid-March
First committee meeting: discuss confidentiality, communication, timeline and process, challenges/opportunities and desired characteristics of next President.

Early May
President Friedman addresses committee. Committee discusses search strategy and candidate rating and review. 

Late June
Committee meets for discussion, progress update.

Early September
Committee selects candidates for first-round interviews. 

Late September
Committee conducts first-round interviews; selects candidates for referencing. 

Mid-October
Committee reviews references and selects candidates for second-round interviews.

November-December
Committee conducts second-round interviews and selects finalist(s) for extended conversations.

Winter 2016/2017
Committee makes recommendation to Board.
