Personal Computer Applications for the Office Professional Certificate
-For Credit, Full-Time, Day, White Plains, Westchester
Pace University’s School of Computer Science and Information Systems has created certificate programs to serve the needs of people who want to acquire personal computing skills along with a valuable credential...and don’t want to spend two, four or more years doing so. The Personal Computer Applications for the Office Professional Certificate serves as a gateway for adults who wish to enroll in undergraduate courses and programs offered by the University. This certificate is designed for adult students who want to update their professional skills and individuals entering or returning to the workforce.

The Personal Computer Applications for the Office Professional Certificate is offered at Pace University’s Graduate Center in White Plains, New York. It is structured to be completed in eight months of full-time study. The eight month period is broken down into two full semesters of four months each. The semesters are divided into two terms of 7 ½ weeks each. The abbreviated terms make it possible for students to meet prerequisites and be prepared for all of the course work.
Upon completion of the program, students will have earned 18 fully transferable college credits in Technology Systems courses including topics such as: word processing, spreadsheets, database, multimedia, keyboarding, and more. In addition to the credit bearing courses, several non-credit seminars are required to enhance and support the core curriculum. Furthermore, students participate in an internship which provides an opportunity to practice the skills learned in the classroom. Students leave CLOUT with more than classroom knowledge, they have valuable work experience. The culmination of these elements makes CLOUT graduates highly marketable in their field.
