Guest Speakers:

Gary Faulkner, Director of Auxiliary Services

Jeff Greenberg, Lackmann Culinary Food Services Representative.

Presented an overview of the RFP process in selecting this company which included a committee of all constituents, focus groups, questionnaires, etc. Introduced background on Lackmann and its philosophy, practices, and its ability to be flexible to meet the needs of our multiple campuses. Lackmann can explore the feasibility of piloting a program (an example was given of asking that they provide breakfast at Briarcliff). As flexibility is their philosophy, if something is not in the catering guide, ask and they will work with you and work to stay within budget. Reviewed need for utilizing e-procurement to obtain a purchase order number for any orders made.

Treasurer’s Report : Angelica Ferreira reported that this year’s budget is $4,000 - the same amount as last year. Last year we ran $2,000 over budget the cost of which Human Resources picked up. An assumption of a 5% budget reduction was made for this year; however in checking with our Human Resources Office in New York, we were informed that the 5% reduction will not be applied to our budget.
