Personal Mentorship
Put Your Education to Work for You
Mentorship and advising are at the heart of the Pace Path. From the moment you enroll until graduation day, you'll have a support team to help you figure out what you want to do in life, and set goals to make it happen. Think of it this way: It's your education and your future. We're the experts who know how to connect the dots.
Mentored Planning
You're not alone when it comes to planning your Pace Path. Faculty, staff, mentors, and your dedicated advisor will help you discover all of the opportunities Pace has to offer. And we'll help you create flexible goals—both academic ones and resume building experiences—based on your interests and career path.
Get Started
-
Every plan grows and changes. So at least once a semester, you and your advisor revisit yours and decide whether to rework it. You might have new interests. There's a chance you'll stumble on a subject you love and totally rethink your career goal. It's not unusual for a Pace student to switch majors—and overhaul their plan—based on a new passion.
-
You and your trained coach start with a simple web form and, as you progress, you’ll learn how to create SMART goals—Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-based—and weave them into your custom Pace Path plan.
-
New tools are always in the works. Coming soon: an interactive major-mapper.
-
Get charged up and recharged by the regular contact you have with professors and other faculty mentors. Class sizes are small, and your professors know your plan, so they're always ready to recommend a course, nudge you back on track, or refer you to an industry connection.
Alumni Mentors
You'll work one-on-one with Pace alumni in your field who are part of our alumni mentoring program. These professionals serve as your guides on everything from life tips to career advice and industry networking.
Together, you and your mentor decide whether you'll benefit most from a longer-term relationship, flash mentoring about a key issue, or something in between.
No matter which type of relationship you start with, don't be surprised if the two of you form a connection that lasts through your professional life.
Peer Mentors
Make the best use of what Pace offers by chatting with a peer mentor. These volunteers share your interests. They'll offer you tips based on their experiences and inspire you to new heights.
