Combine Your BS in Criminal Justice with a Law Degree

The department also offers a combined BS in Criminal Justice/JD in Law program. Applicants to the JD program apply during their junior year to begin their law classes in their senior year. For this program, you are required to take the LSAT and achieve an appropriate score.

When you graduate, you will be prepared for local police work, enforcement positions within the federal government, a career in the private sector security, and entry into the field of law as well as the correction field.

Professor Collica-Cox's research interests include female offenders, prisoners, rehabilitation, reintegration, issues surrounding HIV prison-based peer programming, and women correctional executives. 

Professor Glasner’s research interests include utilizing existing crime theory to understand if language deprivation can contribute to criminal behavior. 

Professor Lavery’s research interest include officer wellness and resiliency, intimate partner violence, sex crimes and trauma, pedagogy in criminal justice, humane criminology, social media and violent crime, and human trafficking.
