- Create an FSA ID for yourself and your parent (if you are a dependent student).
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

- After your FAFSA is completed and submitted, you will receive and review your FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) from the Federal Processor.

- Log in to your Pace Portal to ensure your FAFSA was received and review any outstanding requirements.
- Activate your Pace University account and click “New User”.
- Review the ITS New Student Checklist for a step-by-step guide to activating your Pace student account.
- Select "Student" Tab
- Select the "Financial Aid" box.
- Review your Financial Aid "Home" tab carefully for a list of your Student Requirements.
- Log in to your Pace Portal to ensure your FAFSA was received and review any outstanding requirements.

Fall 2025 Admits - Starting: January 2025
- As a new student at Pace University, you will be emailed your Award Letter notification and link to our Financial Aid Booklet once you are packaged with aid.

- Log in to your Pace Portal.
- Click the "Student" tab.
- Click "Financial Aid".
- Click on the "Award Offer" tab to:
- Review important financial aid information and offers for the current aid year.
- Accept/decline your aid offers.
- Visit our Steps After Applying for Financial Aid page for step-by-step instructions how to accept your aid offers and complete requirements.

- Submit all required documentation as soon as possible to ensure your aid is reflected on your bill by the bill due date and avoid late fees!
- Our paperless forms can be found linked to your Pace Portal requirements and on the Forms and Applications page of our website.
- All documentation, required outside of our paperless forms, should be submitted securely using our Document Submission Form located on the Forms and Applications page of our website. The Financial Aid Office does not recommend documentation submissions via email as it is not secure.
- First-time Federal Direct Loan borrowers must complete the required Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note by logging into the Federal Student Aid website using their unique FSA ID.

- The Federal Government requires students maintain a specific level of academic progress (QPA and course completion rate) to retain financial aid eligibility.
- If you are not making Satisfactory Academic Progress after the Spring semester you are at risk of losing your Federal, State & Institutional aid.
- If you are at risk of not making Satisfactory Academic Progress after Spring, you may want to consider enrolling in Summer courses at Pace.
