What are some of your major accomplishments at Pace?

“I graduated summa cum laude from Pace and was able to maintain a cumulative 4.0 GPA throughout my educational studies. I also joined the Alpha Chi Honor society my junior year and recently received the Film and Screen Studies department award for outstanding academic achievement. However, I believe that my most major accomplishment while at Pace was finishing my degree a full semester earlier than scheduled. I transferred to Pace during the spring semester of my sophomore year, having attended two universities prior, and [I] was worried, with changing schools, that I did not have enough credits to be able to graduate on time. I buckled down and took the maximum number of credits each semester (along with winter and summer courses), hoping to graduate with my classmates. I put in so much extra effort that my perseverance paid off better than I expected.”

What are your plans for after graduation?

“I hope to break into the film industry, hopefully writing in some capacity. For now, I’m attempting to stay as creative as I can and trying to figure out how to forge my own path in this foreign world.”

How has Pace helped you to achieve your goals?

“When I came to Pace, I was unsure of what I wanted to do in life and worried I might not figure it out. While at Pace, the wonderful teachers and academic advisors helped me tremendously in achieving my full potential and figuring out what path I wanted to take in life. I am forever grateful that I ended up at Pace, where I became someone that I believe can have a positive and meaningful impact on society.”

What are some of your major accomplishments at Pace?

“I won the Resident Assistant of the Year Award for 2020, cohosted the Spirit of Pace awards dinner, was a student speaker at many Pace Bound events, and I’ve held many campus jobs: tour guide, dance assistant (Commercial Dance department), Pace Performing Arts student aide, and office/desk assistant for Residential Life. I also had my debut at the Westchester Broadway Theater performing in On Your Feet! and signed with a New York City talent agency, Bloc, through my exposure in Los Angeles as part of the first Commercial Dance class at Pace to go for a semester in 2019.”

What are your plans for after graduation?

“To—hopefully—debut on Broadway and in TV/film! I am a dancer, singer and actress, a performer, hoping to achieve success in both industries. ”

How has Pace helped you to achieve your goals?

“Pace has helped me achieve my goals in many ways, which I am so grateful for. I’ve been able to be exposed to many choreographers and make my name and talent known, and further develop my hard-working spirit and [willingness to] always give a helping hand. My Pace Path is more than I thought it could be! ”

What are some of your major accomplishments at Pace?

“Throughout my time at Pace I focused both on community organizing, social justice and political advocacy. During my junior year I had the opportunity to cowrite and deliver a speech at the United Nations in the General Assembly representing civil society organizations. I was able to do this through the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize recipient. The speech urged all member states to implement educational programs for the elimination of nuclear weapons.

Another major part of my time at Pace was working with various student-led groups to bring awareness to issues happening on campus. I worked very closely with the Dean of Students and other administrators to rewrite the No-Contact Order policy on campus. I was motivated to do this after hearing about the difficulties that students were having with this policy and I wanted to create a system that worked with student needs, not against them. ”

What are your plans for after graduation?

“I have been accepted to a peace-building fellowship in Jerusalem. Additionally, I plan to go on to attend law school. ”

How has Pace helped you to achieve your goals?

“For the past four years I have had endless support from the faculty in both of my majors. My professors fight tirelessly to ensure that students have the support and resources they need to be successful at Pace and beyond. If it were not for them, I would not have had a few of my internships, nor would I have the certainty in myself to stand for what I believe in. ”
