Housing New York City

Programming and Residence Life

At Pace University, the undergraduate experience is about getting a good education, but it's also about growing as a person. We encourage you to try new things, make new friends, and challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone by exploring both Pace University and New York City.

Your Resident Assistants (RAs) will plan events to help you on your way. Programs are planned by the RA staff throughout the year. Get involved! Take advantage of floor, building and campus-wide programs. Involvement in the Pace community happens informally, too. Some of your best memories may be the spontaneous moments: meeting other new residents at a pancake party, playing an impromptu Frisbee game at Battery Park, gathering with your friends at Midnight Breakfast. No matter what building or floor you live on we encourage you to become an active community member.

Non-Theme Floors

Students who live on our traditional floor will build community through a variety of programming both inside and outside the Residence Halls. Many of the programs follow our Pace Path learning outcomes

Theme Floor Communities (1st Year Students Only)

Students may choose to live on one of our theme floors in 182 Broadway or Maria's Tower to pursue their passion around a common interest or “Theme”. Programming on these floors is more structured than on non-theme floors, and is carefully planned to adhere to the given theme.

Expressions (182 Broadway)
Reflect on your authentic being through the many forms of self-expression. Fashion, body art, spoken word, visual art, and music are some ways the Expressions floor will celebrate unique identities.

Foodies (182 Broadway)
Do you consider yourself a foodie? Explore local food hot spots in NYC and get insta-worthy photos of your eats. Learn how to make these recipes at home and how to fit it all in your college budget.

Honors (182 Broadway and Maria’s Tower)
This floor encourages scholarship and broadens horizons among a community of leaders and global citizens. You will have the opportunity to live with a community of scholars and have a stronger connection with the Honors College.

Global City (Maria’s Tower)
Explore the diverse cultural richness of NYC and the many communities and villages it has to offer. Explore new neighborhoods and must see spots known for their culture, history, and experience.

Performing Arts (Maria’s Tower)
Pursuing the performing arts? Live alongside students who are honing their craft and seeking professional growth and opportunities. This floor is open to all majors wanting to make the performing arts part of their future lives. Improv 101, headshot and resume development workshops will be experiences that the performing arts floor will provide.
