2018 Scholarship Roundup
Study abroad, master’s degrees, extra cash for books and board—these were the scholarship opportunities we saw this week. First deadline to apply is Friday, October 5.
International Travel Scholarship
The Lubin School of Business, through a grant received from the Figueroa Family Fund, is awarding scholarships for select Study Abroad opportunities. Lubin students who are eligible can expect to receive $3,000 per opportunity. For more information about the International Travel Scholarship, please read the application thoroughly.
The deadline to apply is Friday, October 5, at 5:00 p.m.
The Davies-Jackson Scholarship provides a distinctive opportunity for graduating seniors who have earned exceptional academic records, and who are among the first generation in their families to graduate from college, to enroll in a two-year BA program as an affiliated student at St. John’s College. This degree is usually considered to be the equivalent of a master’s degree in the US.

One of the oldest and most prestigious national scholarships in the natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics in the United States, the Goldwater Scholarship program seeks to identify and support college sophomores and juniors who show exceptional promise of becoming the nation’s next generation of research leaders in these fields. The Goldwater scholarship provides to $7,500 a year to help cover costs associated with tuition, mandatory fees, books, room, and board.
To be eligible for a Goldwater Scholarship, a student must:
- >> Be a current, full-time matriculated sophomore or junior
- >> Intend to pursue a research career in a natural science, mathematics or engineering
- >> Have a college grade point average of at least a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, and
- >> Be a US citizen or a permanent resident with intent to become a US citizen

Harry S. Truman Scholarship
Apply now for an opportunity to receive up to $30,000 toward your graduate studies! The Harry S. Truman Scholarship is awarded to students who have shown demonstrated leadership potential and a commitment to public service. You must be a US citizen and full-time student in your junior year in order to apply.
