30 Years of Lubin’s EIR
The Lubin School of Business is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Executive in Residence Program, which joins C-suite executives with current students for industry insights, networking, and more. This year’s EIRs are Richard L. Gelfond, Barry Klarberg, and Kelvin Joseph.
Long before today’s students were born, in the fall of 1987, back when the internet wasn’t ubiquitous and the fanciest piece of office equipment was a giant fax machine, connections with people in high places weren’t as east to come by. It was then that Lubin's leadership decided that bringing top executives to campus to impart wisdom and guidance to students would be one of the best ways to provide them with the connections and experiential learning that was a cornerstone to a Pace education even then. Thus, the Executive in Residence program was created.
For the last 30 years, Lubin has brought COOs, CMOs, CEOs, and CFOs to campus to talk business with business students. This year is no different, and because Lubin is celebrating 30 years of the Executive in Residence Program, we’re bringing you a total of three this October. In NYC, CEO of IMAX Richard L. Gelfond talks entertainment technology and how the IMAX experience was brought to theaters near you. In PLV, Pace alumni Barry Klarberg ’81, ’85, and Kelvin Joseph ’01 talk about the intersection of sports marketing and finance.
