Call for Submissions! (NYC)
Are you a writer? What about a photographer? Your work might score you a big win on the NYC Campus! Current Pace students are encouraged to apply to these awards, but be sure to note the deadlines.
NYC Street Life Photography Showcase
Deadline: Monday, April 2, 2018
Have you done fieldwork and taken photographs of people and street life in NYC? The Sociology and Anthropology Department wants to showcase your work on the newly renovated seventh floor of 41 Park Row! This will mark the start of the department’s new Urban Studies program.
Please submit one (or two, or three) photos that relate to core themes and values in our field: human diversity, everyday practices, cultural traditions, social encounters, equality and social justice, protest movements, etc. Along with your photograph, include a caption for your work, your name, and email address. Photographs must be your own, and you must be a current Pace student to be featured on our department wall and our department website. Winning photos will be printed at approximately 16x20, so be sure to submit high-resolution photos that will look good when printed in large format.
Email your submissions to Jacqueline Riddle. Note the deadline! It’s approaching fast.
