Commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Office of Multicultural Affairs is proud to host the 20th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration on Tuesday, February 18 (NYC Campus), and Wednesday, February 19 (PLV Campus). Join the discussion honoring his indelible legacy.
NYC Campus
The Office of Multicultural Affairs, in conjunction with the Black Student Union, will be hosting the 20th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration featuring a conversation with human rights attorney Derecka Purnell and special guest, rapper and activist Meek Mill. The duo will discuss prison reform, mass incarceration, and policing in the US.
The event is open to all Pace students, faculty, and staff free of charge, and will be $5 for outside guests. For more information, please email BSU President Amir Maxwell.

You’re invited to attend the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Programs’ 20th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration featuring keynote speaker Derecka Purnell, who is human rights attorney, writer, and organizer. Purnell earned her JD from Harvard Law School in 2017, and has been published in the New York Times, The Guardian, and more. Her keynote speech will focus on the topic “Why We Need Social Movements, and Why They Need You!” Lunch will be provided for attendees.
