We know everyone is very concerned about Coronavirus (COVID-19) and we want to keep you up to date on important measures we are taking to keep Pace safe and make sure you are informed on the latest developments. We have plans in place for academic and business continuity should there be a serious and widespread outbreak in our area. We are in regular contact with local and New York State health departments as we continue the normal operations of the University. It’s important for all of us to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) prevention guidelines. The most important thing you can do is wash your hands regularly, stay home if you aren’t feeling well and contact University Health Care immediately.

>> Travel policy updates for domestic travel. Effective immediately, the University will approve only essential Pace-sponsored travel, whether international or domestic. Please use this form to submit proposed Pace-sponsored travel (i.e., travel funded by Pace), which will be reviewed by the Provost’s Office for academic travel and the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration and CFO for non-academic travel. Additionally, everyone in the Pace Community—faculty, staff, or student—planning personal international travel or personal travel to parts of the United States beyond the tristate area where there are coronavirus outbreaks reported by the CDC must notify the University of your plans via that same form. As previously outlined, if you travel to a Level 3 country, or one that reaches Level 3 while you’re visiting, we will require you to notify University Health Care before you can return to Pace, and you may be asked to observe the 14-day quarantine recommended by the New York State Department of Health or provide documentation from a healthcare provider that you are authorized to return to school or work. We will adjust this policy as conditions change.
-
>> New websites. The University has launched a resource website dedicated to COVID-19, available at www.pace.edu/coronavirus. It’s important for all of us to stay up-to-date, but also remain calm. Additionally, the University has developed a website that will help all members of the Pace Community work, teach, and learn remotely should it become necessary due to campus closure. Please review our new resources at www.pace.edu/working-remotely.
-
>> Pace Alerts. The Pace Alert system will text and/or call you if there is a major change in campus operations. If you want to make sure that you are signed up for alerts or confirm that the Office of Safety and Security has your latest contact information on record, click here and log in using your Pace credentials.
-
>> Increased cleaning. Our Facilities team has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting highly trafficked areas and high-touch spots across our campuses and facilities as well as taken additional measures recommended by the CDC. The landlords of our leased facilities are doing the same. Disinfectant cleaning products are being used throughout the campus and cleaning staff have received special training on the procedures which will be strictly enforced. If you notice an area that could use attention, please submit a Facilities Request ticket using this form. Please note, the form is only available to those connected to the Pace network, so if you try to access it from home, it will be unavailable unless connected through Pace’s VPN. The CDC recommends cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces regularly to help ensure that our community remains healthy.
Please be mindful of the Pace Community, and if you aren’t feeling well or have any concerns about possible exposure to COVID-19 stay home and call University Health Care at (212) 346-1600 in NYC or at (914) 773-3760 in Westchester, or contact your personal health care provider. If students are worried, the Counseling Center is also available to support them.
Your health and safety, and that of the entire Pace Community, remains our top priority.
