According to CNN’s breakdown of the 2016 Presidential Election, Donald Trump edged slightly ahead of Hillary Clinton at a difference of only 74 electoral votes. At the same time, Clinton earned just 48.5% of the popular vote over Trump’s 46.4%. The point is: the last US election cycle came down to the wire. News stations were projecting a different winner every hour that passed, which means your vote—yes, you—absolutely, unequivocally counts. We understand the process of voting can be confusing, though. We get it.

Did you know that if you are a student living in New York State while attending Pace University and you are a United States citizen, you are eligible to register to vote at your New York State address (on- or off- campus)? You will be assigned to a New York State polling site, as long as you have lived at that address a minimum of 30 days prior to an election. You may also choose to register at the address where you grew up if it is still considered a permanent residence.

If you’re registered to vote in Pleasantville, CCAR will transport you via bus to the local polling place at Briarcliff High School. You can’t miss it: there will be patriotic decorations, snacks, and stickers as well as buttons for all those voting. Join them!
