On June 14, join us under the big blue whale as Pace University hosts the Spirit of Pace Awards Dinner to honor several members of the Pace Community and support student scholarship.
The Spirit of Pace Awards Dinner will be held at the American Museum of Natural History on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
LEADERS IN MANAGEMENT AWARD
Stephen J. Friedman
Stephen J. Friedman is the seventh president of Pace University. President Friedman has presided over an increase in enrollment, advocated a combined education of liberal arts and professional preparation, all while creating opportunity for students and improving the nation’s global competitiveness. Under his leadership, Pace has established new academic and study abroad programs, launched a significant renovation of the New York and Pleasantville campuses, and built a solid financial foundation for advancing Pace’s mission.
Prior to his presidency, he served as dean of the Pace University School of Law and is a former senior partner of Debevoise & Plimpton LLC.

William Offutt, PhD
Professor of History and Faculty Adviser of the Pforzheimer Honors College
William Offutt, PhD, is a professor of history and faculty adviser of the Pforzheimer Honors College at Pace University. His academic interests focus on the relationship between law and society, particularly the methods by which legal systems obtain and keep their legitimacy. He has taught courses on colonial America, revolutionary America, the Civil War, Constitutional history, and American women’s history.
