Summer School 2.0

School may be out, but there’s always an opportunity to learn more. Here’s where Pace faculty and staff can brush-up their professional skills this summer.
Whether you want to get over your stage fright, get a handle on your to-do list, or get an introduction to graphic design, we’ve got just the class for you. See what’s on the schedule this summer:
Time Management
July 19 | 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | PLV
Time management is more than just managing time. It is about controlling the use of the most valuable, and under-valued, resource. This program provides individuals with tools and techniques to identify individual time management goals, explore time management tools and techniques, and develop Individual Action Plans for addressing barriers to time management.
Adobe Photoshop Workshop
July 20 and August 3 | 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | Midtown Center
Crop. Toggle. Bounding box. Palette. Magic wand. Dodge. Burn. Sound familiar? Maybe not. If you want to know what these words have to do with producing high-quality, gorgeous photos and graphics that are ready for Facebook and picture frames, you may want to consider signing up for a Photoshop seminar hosted by the Center for Professional Studies at Pace.
Adobe InDesign Workshop
July 27 and August 10 | 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | Midtown Center
Bad design got you down? Learn the ins and outs of designing for print with this special Adobe workshop hosted here at Pace. If you’ve got an eye for design, but lack the know-how to make it happen, this is the workshop for you.
Presentation Skills
August 3 | 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | PLV
Being able to speak effectively in public and give presentations is critical in the business world. Learn how to improve your communication style, inspire and motivate participants, and exude confidence and enthusiasm in your presentations. Participants will practice public speaking techniques and make impromptu presentations.
Providing Constructive Feedback
August 10 | 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | NYC
Providing constructive feedback not only helps solve immediate issues, but can also prevent potential problems that can ultimately have a negative impact on your department and greater environment. At the end of this workshop, participants will gain an enhanced understanding of proper feedback approaches, techniques, and will be able to evaluate their current effectiveness when providing feedback to others.
