On April 16, Temple Grandin, one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world will visit the NYC Campus for an inspiring lecture.

Did you know that autism now affects 1 in 88 U.S. children? Join Pace University’s Ongoing Academic and Social Instructional Support (OASIS) Program and Strokes of Genius on Wednesday, April 16, for an inspiring lecture on how to train the talent in artistic individuals with autism.

Guest lecturer Temple Grandin, PhD, one of the most accomplished and well-known adults with autism in the world and 2010 Pace Convocation speaker, will deliver the keynote address. Grandin has appeared on NPR, BBC, The Today Show, and more, was named one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world, has authored several best-selling books, and was the subject of the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning film starring Claire Danes.

Rosa C. Martinez, PhD, BCBA-D, president and founder of Strokes of Genius, will also discuss how to help autistic artists realize their talents.

Artwork by individuals with autism will be on display (April 14–20) and available for purchase. A special art auction and VIP reception with Grandin and the artists will help fund the OASIS and Strokes of Genius programs. All proceeds from the auction will go to Strokes of Genius and OASIS Program for students on the autistic spectrum.

Art auction and VIP reception will be held at 6:00 p.m. and the Temple Grandin lecture will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Schimmel Theatre.

Pace faculty and staff with a valid Pace ID can purchase up to two $16.50 tickets in person at the Schimmel box office. .
