Women’s Leadership Conference 2019 (PLV)

News Story

Empowered women empower women. On Saturday, March 2, join us for a very special conference featuring breakout sessions, talks from experts, and the opportunity to connect with other women in the Pace Community!

Join the Student Development and Campus Activities (SDCA) for their annual Women’s Leadership Conference! SDCA hosts this important event to invite expert speakers and facilitate discussion for all women in the Pace Community.

This year, they’re focusing on the theme of aspiration. Women are in a constant battle of breaking their own glass ceilings—whether it be in their career choices or defying stereotypes. This conference will empower women on their road to success with a dynamic keynote speaker, breakout sessions, and talks.

We hope to see you there!

The keynote speaker is Victoria Elena Nones, a self-made entrepreneur with a passion for using business to economically empower minorities. She is a visionary focused on creating profitable ventures and advocating for people like herself. Fusing her passions for gender parity, entertainment, animals, inspiring/empowering women, and business, Nones founded and developed three successful companies: Women in ComedySatira, and SIT Social: A Dog Lounge.

Vice President of Business Intelligence and Analytics at Estée Lauder Laura Manuele is the closing speaker. She began her career as a staff accountant in International Finance and quickly grew such a strong reputation that the brand Clinique recruited her. Manuele worked with tireless devotion and played a crucial role in the brand’s financial success through the years, supporting the Global Group president of Clinique as well as brands Origins and Aveda. Manuele continues to build on this mantra that, “It takes a village to accomplish great things.”
