"C-SPAN" featured Dyson professor Durahn Taylor in "American Cartoons in World War II"
During the 2018-2019 year Dr. Durahn Taylor combined his scholarly research on comics and government causes with a new course he and the Department created entitled, "Supermen and Superwomen: U.S. History Through Popular Fantasy." On March 26, 2019, C-SPAN American History TV videorecorder his class, as Dr. Taylor taught a presentation entitled, "Bonds and Taxes: American Comics and Cartoons in World War II." Pace University professor Durahn Taylor taught a class on American cartoons in World War II and the ways they supported - and even influenced - the war effort. He shows superhero comics that urged kids to do their part by recycling paper and buying savings bonds and stamps.
