34th Annual Komen Race for the Cure
For More Than 30 Years, The Komen Community Has Raced Together to End Breast Cancer.
Join your fellow Setters along with our team captain, Dr. Ellen Mandel Professor Emeritus, in the fight to end breast cancer at the 34th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on Sunday, September 8 in Central Park, NY. Pace has maintained a proud tradition of being the largest college/university team. We hope to continue that important distinction. Please watch the YouTube video below of Dr. Mandel reading a poem she wrote 30 years ago to create awareness about Breast Cancer and to beg for federal funding in Washington, “Walking for the Cure.” This poem was aired during the 30th anniversary of Komen NYC.

The Northwell Health Lenox Hill Hospital has been named one of the 2024 Leapfrog Top Teaching Hospitals, a prestigious achievement given to only six hospitals in New York State. This achievement solidifies the great learning opportunities the Pace University – Lenox Hill Hospital Physician Assistant Program provides its students and faculty.

Joy's story began in a place of fear and uncertainty. Facing domestic violence, sexual assault, and abuse related to her immigration status, Joy felt lost and isolated. Having been to court already and after consulting numerous local victim service organizations, she could not find the support she so desperately needed. Struggling to navigate an abusive situation, Joy felt her options were limited to "either jail or homelessness." Then, after one particularly concerning violent incident, everything changed when the local court system recommended the Pace Women's Justice Center.
Students
The MSOT 2025 cohort took a field trip to Family of Kidz Sensory Gym in Harrison, NY, as part of their Pediatric course. The students learned about sensory integration in lecture and then participated in experiential learning to reinforce concepts and practice skills. This is learning. This is fun. This is occupational therapy and we love it! Happy World OT Day!
