The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is pleased to announce that U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren will deliver the Law School’s commencement address at its 45th Commencement Ceremony, to be held on May 15, 2023 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens. Senator Warren and Harvard Law Professor and Legal Historian Bruce H. Mann will both receive the Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, the highest honor conferred by the Law School, recognizing their lifelong contributions to public service and the legal profession.

Pace University alumnus Telfar Clemens ’08, a celebrated fashion designer and founder of the label Telfar, will address Pace University’s Commencement 2023 and receive an honorary doctorate. U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren will address the Elisabeth Haub School of Law graduating class. In addition, Sen. Warren and Harvard Law Professor and legal historian Bruce H. Mann will both receive honorary degrees. Trustee and alumnus Ivan G. Seidenberg ’81, retired chairman and CEO of Verizon Communications, will address graduates of Pace’s Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems to mark the school’s 40th anniversary.

The Madness of March returns to Pace University once again: For the first time in school history the Pace University Men's Basketball team earns back-to-back NCAA championship berths as the Setters heard their name called in Sunday night's Selection Show on NCAA.com. Pace University Seidenberg School of CSIS Professor Zhan Zhang, PhD, recently received a $499,966 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop touchless smart glasses that will allow emergency care professionals to collect data, communicate with other specialists, and pull up medical protocol checklists with a gesture of the head or through voice controls. They’ll no longer need to take their hands—or their eyes—off the patient or risk transferring germs to and from a computer keyboard.

Pace University on Wednesday hosted its annual LGBTQA+ Pride Hoops Night, a collaboration between Pace University's Office of Gender & Sexuality and Pace Athletics. The tradition began in 2016, following the tragedy at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida, to make a bold and positive statement to address hate and show that Pace is a welcoming and supportive institution to the LGBTQA+ community.

Jorge Islas López, Consul General of Mexico in New York, delivered the 2023 Blaine Sloan Lecture on International Law on Wednesday, February 1, speaking on "The Consular Duty and the Protection of Human Rights in New York.” The Blaine Sloan Lecture on International Law honors F. Blaine Sloan for developing the international law studies program at Pace. Consul General Islas López is also Giovanni Sartori Constitutional Law Professor, National Autonomous University of Mexico.
