The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is proud to announce that Professor James Toomey was awarded the 2023 Goettel Prize for Faculty Scholarship for his article, “Property’s Boundaries” published by Virginia Law Review (109 Va. L. Rev. 131 (2023)).

Pace University Art Gallery is pleased to present “Inscaping Legacies,” a major solo exhibition by the interdisciplinary artist Firoz Mahmud. Mahmud’s work draws on the histories of the South Asian Bengal region in which he is deeply rooted, and where many historical cities have been transformed by colonialism. Curated by Clinical Assistant Professor of Art and Pace gallery director Sarah Cunningham, MFA, the exhibit opens for viewing on Saturday, September 30 with a later reception on Tuesday, October 3 from 5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m. The artist will also give a talk about his work on Wednesday, October 18 at 6:30 p.m.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is pleased to announce that Sam Kalen will deliver the annual Gilbert and Sarah Kerlin Lecture on Environmental Law. Professor Kalen is the William T. Schwartz Distinguished Professor of Law and Associate Dean at the University of Wyoming College of Law, as well as the founder and co-director of the School’s Center for Law and Energy Resources in the Rockies.

A record-number 30 Pace University students have been accepted into the 2023 class of the United Nations Academic Impact and Millennium Campus Network Fellowship Program, the University today announced.

Pace University on Saturday honored its women’s lacrosse team for their momentous and historic season that ended with the team winning the 2023 Division II National Championship. As part of the ceremonies, members of the team were recognized in front of an exuberant crowd at halftime of the Pace football game at Northwell Stadium in Pleasantville where the winning championship banner was unveiled.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is pleased to announce that the 2023 Elisabeth Haub Award for Environmental Law and Diplomacy will be jointly awarded to Ambassador Marja Lehto of Finland and former Ambassador Marie Jacobsson of Sweden for their pivotal roles advancing environmental law and policy to protect the environment in times of armed conflicts.

With a cheer squad, acapella singers, and faculty and staff enthusiastically welcoming the incoming class, Pace University on Tuesday hosted Convocation on two of its campuses: New York City and Pleasantville in Westchester County.

Stephanie Akunvabey, a native New Yorker who has dedicated her career in higher education to championing issues relating to equity and inclusion, has been named Pace University’s new associate vice president for diversity and inclusion and its chief diversity officer.

Each year, the Pace Women’s Justice Center (PWJC) commemorates Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October with the culmination of its Raising the Bar Benefit Concert. This year’s concert will take place at the Capitol Theatre on Thursday, November 3, at 8:00 p.m. The full-length concert will be exclusively performed by the Grammy-winning duo, Indigo Girls.
