An eventful week of fun-filled festivities and students returning to campus culminated Tuesday when Pace University welcomed its Class of 2028 during its Convocation.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and Yale University’s School of the Environment have enhanced their already existing partnership to offer students several new joint degree options.

The Pace Women’s Justice Center (PWJC) is proud to announce its 2024 "Raising the Bar" Benefit Concert, a pivotal event dedicated to raising awareness and support for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse. The concert will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY, featuring a special performance by Grammy award-winning artist, songwriter, actor, author, and advocate, Ashanti.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is proud to announce that Professor Laura Portuondo of the University of Houston Law Center has been selected as the winner of the 2024-2025 Haub Law Emerging Scholar Award in Women, Gender & Law for her paper Gendered Liberty, 113 Geo. L. Rev. __ (forthcoming 2025).

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is pleased to announce that Gabriel Pell and Fernando Mendoza Lopez have joined its faculty as Visiting Assistant Professors of Law. Professor Pell is a former prosecutor who comes to Haub Law after having taught for several years at New York Law School. Professor Mendoza Lopez recently received his JD and PhD from Vanderbilt Law School, and previously served as Director of Economic Studies in the Mexican federal government.

Pace University’s Sands College of Performing Arts has named Mandy Moore as director of its Commercial Dance LA semester. The BFA Commercial Dance Program was founded in 2012 and launched its first full semester in LA in 2018. The Commercial Dance program brings 35 students to Los Angeles in the spring semester of their junior year. The renowned choreographer will teach the choreography for its camera course and direct the showcase course.

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is pleased to announce that Janene Marasciullo, an experienced trial attorney and a veteran of FINRA and the Department of Justice, will join the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University as the Director of its Fairbridge Investor Rights Clinic and an adjunct professor. In 2021, Haub Law received a generous five-year grant to name its Investor Rights Clinic (formerly the Securities Arbitration Clinic) after Fairbridge Asset Management.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams today announced the appointment of, and swore in, Robert S. Tucker, 1996 graduate from The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, as the 35th commissioner of the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY). In addition to graduating from Pace, Tucker also serves on the university’s Board of Trustees.

At a time when unprecedented marine heat waves warm 40 percent of the oceans, and much life at sea is endangered, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is proud to recognize two distinguished women for their leadership negotiating the world’s first legal agreement to safeguard marine biodiversity.

Jennifer Holmes, Ph.D. has been appointed the first ever dean of Pace University’s Sands College of Performing Arts. She has most recently served as executive director of the college since it launched in the fall of 2023 and as executive director of the Pace School of Performing Arts (PPA) since November 2021.
