Catherine Finlayson

Faculty Bio

Catherine S. Finlayson, PhD, RN, OCN joined the faculty of Pace University’s Lienhard School of Nursing in the department of PhD in Nursing, as a tenure-track Associate Professor in 2021. She earned her PhD from New York University’s Rory Meyers College of Nursing in 2018. Dr. Finlayson received the Doctoral Degree Scholarship in Cancer Nursing from the American Cancer Society to support her dissertation research, which subsequently won the outstanding dissertation award that year. She was the recipient of the 2018 Oncology Nursing Society Trish Greene Memorial Lectureship. She was a Clinical Nurse IV at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for 15 years. She is the current chair of the ANA-NY PAC. Dr. Finlayson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from New York University. A Master of Science in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from the New School for Social Research and a BSN from SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
