Biography

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES

Kaustav Sen, PhD is Professor of Accounting. He has published in the areas of corporate governance, financial reporting and stock price anomalies. He has presented at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, been awarded funding by the National Stock Exchange of India, has received best paper awards from the American Accounting Association (Ohio) and the Securities Exchange Board of India, and has been cited by the Economist. In the past, he served as the Accounting Department’s Ernst & Young scholar.

Dr. Sen serves on the Editorial Board of Journal of International Accounting, Auditing & Taxation and as a reviewer for several other journals. He has been a consultant at Prudential, New York Life and GE Capital in equity investments and risk management. He has held visiting faculty positions at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Dr. Sen primarily teaches classes in financial, managerial and systems. He has received the Innovation in Teaching Award at Lubin and received curriculum development grants from Verizon and SAP.
