Biography
Adjunct Professor Linda Martin was previously the Chief Compliance Officer at CareOne Management, LLC & Affiliates (“CareOne”), where she championed the compliance efforts and oversaw the regulatory affairs of the organization. CareOne is a multi-state provider of senior care services with approx. Prior to joining CareOne, Professor Martin was Executive Vice President and Corporate Director of Legal Affairs for Aging in America, Inc. a non-profit organization where she served as Compliance Officer, was responsible for the case management of legal matters and oversaw the planning & development of community-based programs and services. Her background is in hospital administration and chronic care. She previously worked at the New York City Health & Hospital Corporation overseeing the Division of Diagnostic Services for two busy municipal hospitals in the Bronx. After that, she worked at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine as the Administrator of their outpatient dialysis center, which included an active fellowship training program and numerous research grants. Following the consolidation of clinical programs with Montefiore Medical Center, Professor Martin became the Area Administrator for New York Dialysis Management, responsible for the Montefiore Dialysis Centers and the company’s New York based operations.
From 2002–2011, Professor Martin served on the Board of Directors at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow, NY where she chaired the Bylaws & Governance Committee and was an active member of the Audit and Community Health Committees. During this time, she also served as a Trustee of the Stellaris Hospital Network in Armonk, NY. She was a Board member and founding Chair of the Legal Services Committee of the New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (now LeadingAGE N.Y.). She also completed a 7-year term as a Member of the Kendal on Hudson Board of Directors in Sleepy Hollow NY.
