Master Your Medium with a BFA in Studio Art

The BFA in art at Pace University provides you with comprehensive studio art training and immersive experiences in New York City’s vibrant creative community. With a curriculum designed for depth and exploration, you’ll develop expertise in your chosen medium—whether painting, digital design, photography, or sculpture—while learning to push creative boundaries.

The program begins with foundational courses in traditional and digital media, followed by advanced practice-based electives and a capstone senior exhibition, where you’ll present a focused body of work. Throughout your studies, you’ll collaborate with faculty mentors who are active professionals in the art world, and you’ll have access to exhibition opportunities at the Pace University Art Gallery.

Our Curriculum

Our BFA program provides students with a broad introduction to the studio arts through an intensive sequence of courses in various media, followed by comprehensive study in a selected studio area. The degree culminates with the senior capstone course exhibition of a focused body of creative work.

You’ll explore a broad array of materials, techniques and processes to realize content in inventive and innovative ways in your studio courses.

Featured Faculty

Professor Becket's interests include kinetic sculptures and installations that create projected imagery produced through analogue methods. 

Professor Gottesfeld’s interests include landscape/place/the environment in paintings and drawings. 

Professor Stroup’s interests include photography, printing, installation, and artist books. His recent prints on canvas make photography into a tactile experience for the viewer.
