CPA Exam Prep and Becker CPA Review

Pace accounting programs provide CPA review courses to all accounting majors. We have partnered with Becker Professional Education to provide Becker's review materials and instruction for the FAR (Financial Accounting and Reporting) and AUD (Auditing and Attestation) sections of CPA exams. In addition, Pace students and alumni can sign up for other sections of review courses on their own with Becker at a special preferred customer pricing. With these CPA review courses, many Pace students passed two or even all four sections of the CPA exam before graduating from the program. Contact the Accounting Department for more details. New CPA Exam 2024

Begin in January 2024, the CPA exam will adopt a new "Core + Disciplines" model. All candidates will take three sections of core exams: Accounting and Data Analysis, Auditing and Information System, and Tax. For the fourth section, candidates will choose one of the three disciplines to demonstrate deeper skills and knowledge: Business Analysis and Reporting, Information Systems and Controls, or Tax Compliance and Planning. All sections will have added emphasis on data analytics and technology. Regardless of chosen discipline, however, this model leads to full CPA licensure, with rights and privileges consistent with any other CPA. A discipline selected for testing would not mean the CPA is limited to that practice area.
