Our students gain valuable, real-world skills through 660 hours of training in diverse areas such as behavioral health, acute care, and maternal health, ensuring they are well-prepared for any challenge.
At Pace, learning doesn’t stop in the classroom. Our state-of-the-art simulation labs, including the Center for Excellence in Healthcare Simulation, offer immersive opportunities to practice fundamental and high-fidelity nursing skills. Using advanced tools like task trainers and human patient simulators (manikins), you’ll be ready to handle any clinical situation with confidence, building the expertise employers highly value.

Curriculum
In our program, students complete more than 660 hours of clinical training in a variety of areas, such as behavioral health, maternal and women’s health, pediatrics, acute, chronic, and critical care.
In the final semester, students complete a capstone experience in a unique one-to-one preceptorship with a working registered nurse. This final preceptorship may occur in one of many specialties, including emergency department, intensive or neonatal intensive care, oncology, pediatrics, operating room, and many more.

- NURS 202 Fundamentals of Nursing Practice: Learn the foundational principles and primary interventions of nursing practice.
- NURS 350 Child Health Nursing: Apply the concepts of pediatric growth and development to care for children with acute and/or chronic illnesses.
- NURS 480 Transition into Professional Nursing Practice: Senior capstone course where you work one-on-one with a nurse to enhance your critical thinking and decision making for transition to professional practice.
