Sustainability Groups
All Campuses
GreenPace is a campus-wide committee that brings together diverse representatives including faculty, associate deans, students, alumni, senior administration, service and facility managers to tackle sustainability issues on the Pleasantville, New York City and White Plains campuses. Representatives from all three campuses attend regular meetings to discuss issues and projects specific to their respective campus.

Pace Sustainability Initiative (New York City)
Formed in 2017 on Pace’s New York City campus, the Pace Sustainability Initiative's (PSI) main focus is the teaching, assisting and proposing of sustainability initiatives aimed at increasing the efficiency of resource use, reduction of waste, and preservation of ecosystems and animal species. These initiatives may extend to the government, student body, universities or local community.

NATURE Club (Pleasantville)
Natural Activists Teaching Understanding and Respect for the Environment (NATURE) serves as an outlet for students on the Pleasantville campus who have an appreciation and concern for the natural environment. NATURE plays an active role in engaging students, forging a sense of responsibility and commitment to environmental stewardship.

Volunteer
Dyson College Nature Center
The Nature Center provides the Pleasantville campus with access to a myriad of natural and cultivated resources like trails, apiaries, horticultural land, ponds and streams. The Nature Center is always in need of volunteers to help maintain its gardens and nature trails, to care for its animals and to help organize its many events.
Pleasantville Organic Garden
Part of the Dyson College Nature Center, the organic garden is an educational project where students, faculty and staff are able to conduct research, experiment and learn about various growing methods while experiencing the joy of nurturing and harvesting fresh vegetables. Being involved in the garden enables participants to appreciate the process of bringing produce from a farm to table while helping to reconnect with natural cycles.

Earth Tub Composter
The Earth Tub Composter on the Pleasantville campus helps keep thousands of pounds of food scraps from dining services out of landfills. The high-quality compost that is produced by the composter is discharged into the Pleasantville Organic Garden and is used for student research into the benefits of compost on untreated soil, in addition to reducing the need for additional fertilizer in the garden.
A team of student volunteers maintain the composter throughout the year. Interested in volunteering with the composter? Contact Samantha Miller at smiller3@pace.edu.
Green Office Certification
Developed by Pace University Environmental Studies students and implemented by GreenPace Committee members, the certification is now available for all departments across the University to participate. The certification process requires employees to take stock of current practices including purchasing, paper use, waste reduction, recycling, energy consumption, meetings, and transportation and offers ideas to advance office green practices.
Become a Sustainability Ambassador
Join a support team that helps educate and disseminate information to your Pace University peers regarding Sustainability here at Pace. As a Sustainability Ambassador, you will be tasked with sharing major GreenPace and Pace University sustainability initiatives with your coworkers to help educate, bring awareness and inspire change.
