On Friday September 10, 2021, Pace celebrated the leadership and legacy of Dean Emerita Harriet R. Feldman, PhD, RN, FAAN with a ribbon cutting and formal dedication of Wright Cottage on the Pleasantville Campus as the Harriet R. Feldman Center for Doctoral Education in Nursing. The Center, generously allocated and renovated by the University for the College of Health Professions, houses administration, faculty, and staff of both programs, and provides a welcome space for students to conduct research, connect with their professors, and continue the leadership of the College of Health professions that is the legacy of Dean Feldman.

That definitely caught my attention when applying to colleges. But what eventually sealed the deal was when I took a tour of Pace and learned about the amazing clinical sites and opportunities offered to students. This past July, Pace’s College of Health Professions appointed its new dean, Marcus Tye. He will succeed Harriet Feldman, who served as dean of the school for over a decade, and was dean and a professor at the Lienhard School of Nursing for over 15 years before that. Tye is a licensed clinical psychologist who previously served as dean of the School of Health Sciences and interim dean of the School of Education at the College of Staten Island, City University of New York. The Business Journal reached out to Tye about his future plans for the school.
