As the founder and president of the Pre-Veterinary Club, Lara Ellentuck ’22 has been hard at work creating a space for animal lovers all across the Pace Community. She’s interned at animal shelters and hospitals, and she’s excited to share her expertise with others.
Pace University is poised to transform Lienhard Hall, home to its College of Health Professions on the Pleasantville campus, into a modernized Healthcare Hub with the help of $1 million in state funding.
“Pace has given me a real edge. We have clinical placements early, and we work in the field and in labs far more than what’s required for licensing. That’s where so much of the learning is, and I’m there.”

CHP Professors Angela Northrup and Christen Cooper, and student Rachel Mazariegos '21 are embarking on a multi-disciplinary research study examining sugar sweetened beverage consumption amongst young children; with the aim of combating harmful consumption across varied populations, and helping to reduce childhood obesity.
Cati Amaral ’18 injects her heart for helping others into her daily life at Pace, from advocating for students through her roles in the Honors Council and Student Government Association to excelling as a nursing student and resident assistant on the Pleasantville Campus.
Soon-to-be double alumna Jessica Jiménez ’19 first earned her BA in Psychology from Pace, only to pursue the competitive MS in Physician Assistant Studies, which she’ll be graduating from December 2019. Talk about ambition!
