Image Sizes and Naming Conventions
General Rules for Images
- Please crop and name your images based on the size and naming conventions listed below.
- Please make sure your image file names are all lowercase and have hyphens between words.
- Images should not exceed 1mb. (See screen grab on the bottom of this page)
- Please make sure your images is saved as a jpg (preferably in photoshop). No PNGs or GIFs. (See screen grab on the bottom of this page)
- Please make sure your image is saved at 51%. (See screen grab on the bottom of this page)
- Please make sure your image is saved as optimized. (See screen grab on the bottom of this page)
- Please do not place text on your images.
- Please do not use clip art or animated gifs on our site.
- Please do not use low quality images.
- Please try to find images for your site from the Pace University stock photo catalog, instead of using generic stock images.
- Please Note: Images that do not meet the size guidelines below, will be removed from the site or replaced with a similar image.

2000x1125 pixelsImage Naming Convention:
[school-or-department]-article-hero-[name-of-article].jpgExample:
If you were creating a hero image for an Article titled "Staff Picnic", you would name your image article-hero-staff-picnic.jpg. -
Image Size:
2000x1125 pixelsImage Naming Convention:

If you were creating an image for a gallery titled "Staff Picnic", on a University Relations webpage, you would name your first gallery image university-relations-image-gallery-staff-picnic-1.jpg -
Image Size:
975x975 pixelsImage Naming Convention:
[school-or-department]-inline-[description-of-image].jpg* Images of this type may not always be 975x975 squares. If your image is not a square, please make sure that the width is 975.
Example:
If you were creating an image to be placed floated left or right of your body copy next to a page section titled "Staff Picnic", on a University Relations webpage, you would name your image university-relations-inline-staff-picnic.jpg -
Image Size:
2000x1125 pixels *Image Naming Convention:
[school-or-department]-inline-[description-of-image].jpg* Images of this type may not always be 2000x1125 rectangles. If your image is not a rectangle, please make sure that the width is 2000.
Example:
If you were creating an image to be placed full-width above your body copy section titled "Staff Picnic", on a University Relations webpage, you would name your image university-relations-inline-staff-picnic.jpg -
